Since its founding in 1997, Imery Urdaneta has been known for its extensive litigation practice. Our litigation team has substantial involvement in virtually all types of litigation that affect businesses in Venezuela and abroad.

Our litigation team handles and monitors civil and commercial proceedings before the Venezuelan Courts nationwide, including highly technical appeals before the Supreme Court of Justice.

We have handled a variety of complex judicial proceedings, including collections, bankruptcy moratorium (“atraso”), claims for damages, enforcement of contracts and guarantees, as well as litigation related to product liability, banking matters, family and minors, protection of intellectual property rights, among others.


Appellate Litigation
Most of our litigators are duly qualified to appear before the Venezuelan Supreme Court of Justice, constantly procuring to maintain the high standards of research and specialization required for these appeals.
